World Pool-Billiard Association Holds General Assembly in Manila
The World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) held their General Assembly at the Heritage Hotel in Manila, Philippines on Friday November 27 in conjunction with the World Ten Ball Championships. At this year’s assembly Ian Anderson of Australia was re-elected to his post as President and Jerry Forsyth of the BCA, Georgina Palacios of the CPB and Andy Chang of the APBU were elected to the Board of Directors.
Reports from the various officers of the WPA were accepted, as was the auditors report. Mr. Kazumi Fujima of Japan was accepted as a life and honorary member. Discussion was had as to the attempts made at holding World Championships within a close time frame in order to reduce player travel expenses.
The framework of the WPA Board of Directors is now:

Vice President: Peter Hawley
Secretary/Treasurer: Fran Crimi
Deputy Secretary: Georgina Palacios
Press Officer: Jerry Forsyth
Board members include Peter Hawley of South Africa, Georgina Palacios of Central America, Fran Crimi and Jerry Forsyth of North America, Andy Chang and Ronnie Chua of Asia, and Ian Anderson of Australia.
