2009 Diamond World Summit of Pool Ready to Kick off
PHOENIX, AZ (May 26, 2009) – The United States Professional Poolplayers Association (the UPA) is adding the finishing touches to the upcoming 2009 Diamond World Summit of Pool event to be held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino, 2901 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada in just another week (June 3-6, 2009).
To help kick off the week, the tour wishes to welcome on board its latest event sponsor, Instroke Cases. Instroke is the official case for this year’s World Summit of Pool event. In addition, the tour would very much like to express its gratitude for the continuous sponsorship from four of the top companies in the billiard industry that provide the tour with its official products: Ivan Simonis Cloth, Aramith Balls, Delta-13 Rack, and Diamond Tables as the title sponsor.
This annual event has been a staple in the professional pool community for numerous years and looks to be another fantastic opportunity for the men to strut their stuff at the game of 9-ball in this championship arena with an incentive of $20,000 guaranteed added. A little fun for the players and spectators alike will be had on Wednesday, June 3, at 8 p.m. via a pro-am/meet the pros mixer. Players meet Tuesday, June 2, with tournament play jump-starting on Wednesday, June 3, at 10 a.m. playing through Saturday, June 6, with just the semifinal and final play to be held on the last day.
