Ike Runnels ran away with first place at the Lucasi Hybrid All-American Tour’s first stop of the year January 2-3. This event, hosted by Pockets Billiards in Crestwood, IL, featured a $500-added prize purse and attracted 53 players to its double-elimination format on 7-foot Valley bar boxes.

Tony Zierman went undefeated to win the A-side finals by defeating John Plate 6-1, but Runnels made his way back through the B-side to face Zierman in the finals. On the B-side, Runnels eliminated Tony Gong at fourth place and continued his run back to challenge Zierman by eliminating Plate 6-2 in the B-side finals. Runnels continued his hot hand by defeating Zierman twice, 6-3, 6-3 in the title sets.
