A full field of 64 headed to CueBar, an upscale billiard parlor in Bayside, NY, for the Louis Pannullo Charity Fundraiser held September 6-7. Put on by Tony Robles of the Predator 9-Ball Tour, this event benefited the Michael Magro Foundation, which supports children afflicted with cancer.

It wasn’t only the East Coast’s finest male players who showed up to support the cause, either—some of the top players on the Women’s Professional Billiard Association came to play, including Allison Fisher, Gerda Hofstatter, Jeanette Lee, and Jasmin Ouschan. Of the ladies, Ouschan fared the best¬—she had smooth sailing until running into Mika Immonen in the fourth round. Immonen may have had a bone to pick, since Ouschan was responsible for ousting him from the Predator World Straight Pool Championships the previous weekend before she ended up taking third in that event. Immonen won this time around 7-5, sending Ouschan to the left side of the chart. There she was met by Lee, with whom she battled to double-hill before advancing 9-8. She ousted Mhet Vergara 9-4 and was only stopped by Robles, who dropped her into fifth place 9-5.

Robles went on to face off against Marc Vidal in the quarterfinal match—it was a close call, but Robles pulled it off 9-7. He then advanced to the semifinal match to meet John Alicea, who had just been sent down from the hot seat match by Shaun “Get Some” Wilkie 9-3. Wilkie came into the hot seat match after a harrowing hill-hill bout with Robles. Psyched for a rematch with Wilkie, Robles tore through Alicea 9-3 to head back to meet Wilkie in the finals. It was a close match, but Robles pulled away to win the extended race 11-7.
