Predator 10-Ball World Tour Announces Two Qualifiers for 2010 Spain Event
Predator 10-Ball World Tour, Presented by Masterpool Promotions, announces two qualifiers for the Predator World Tour Spain event that will take place in Lloret De Mar, Spain on January 6-9, 2010.
The inaugural Northern Action 9-Ball Tour stop, organized by Fred Goodman, held on Dec. 12-13 in Warren, MI will host a qualifier. This $2000 added 9-ball tournament will feature many unique extras including a Friday night “King of the Hill” Tournament and a $1000 added Break and Run contest. Additionally, the winner of the tournament will earn a spot (including entry fee and additional money to offset travel expenses) to the first 2010 Predator 10-Ball World Tour event. For more information about this tour and qualifier, contact Fred at 216-316-7448.
Also on Dec. 12-13 across the country in Houston, TX, the tour finale of the Lone Star Billiards Tour will also serve as a qualifier for the Predator 10-Ball World Tour event in Spain. This event has $1300 added to the prize fund and includes a 2-day open division starting on Saturday morning and a ladies division starting on Sunday. For more information about this tour and qualifier please contact Kim White at lonestartour@gmail.com.
In addition to the regular tournament prize money at these qualifiers, the winners of these qualifiers will receive an invitation to join top professionals from around the world including Mika Immonen, Darren Appleton and Daryl Peach to play for approximately $74,000 in prize money.
The event takes place on January 6-9 and promises to be the first hot event of the New Year. David Alcaide won the most recent event in Anadia, Portugal and took home $14,000 in prize money. He appears to be the early favorite for Lloret De Mar but, with challengers coming from Europe, Asia, America and elsewhere, it is unlikely that “El Matador” will have an easy time of it.
As with the Anadia event last September, ESPN Star and Eurosport will cover the finals and semifinals in Barcelona. This 128 player invitational tournament will take place in Lloret De Mar, just outside of Barcelona. For more information about the Predator 10-Ball World Tour visit www.Predator10Ball.com.
