Taking the Tri-State Tour stop by storm, Chris Luethi owned the February 16 stop held at Sandcastle Billiards in Edison, NJ. This was the first time the tour visited Sandcastle Billiards and drew in a 45-player field for their B-D handicapped 9-ball event.
Late action on the winners’ side climaxed as Luethi and Stewart Warnock met in the hot seat match, and after a hill-hill showdown Luethi edged out Warnock for the match win. Over on the one-loss side, Bogie Uzdejczyk ousted Ray Marisette 9-8, while Danny Citron sent Borana Andoni away from another double-hill clash. From there it was a quick leap for Uzdejczyk, who drilled Cintron 7-2 in the quarterfinals then eliminated Warnock 7-5 in the semifinals.
This set up the final match of the event between Luethi and Uzdejczyk, and after the match teetered back and forth, Luethi finally made a surge ahead to take the match from the hands of fate at double-hill and claim the 7-6 win.

1st Chris Luethi
