Ouschan has been a force to be reckoned with for years.

Hailing from Klagenfurt, Austria, Jasmin Ouschan was born January 10, 1986. Her parents owned a pool hall, and she began playing pool at the age of 6. She burst onto the U.S. women’s pool scene in 2006 when she took first place over Allison Fisher at the EnjoyPool.com 9-Ball Championships in Las Vegas, NV. She frequently participants on the EuroTour, competing almost solely with men, and is an excellent straight pool player.

In 2005, Ouschan became the World Games champion. The following year, she played in the World Straight Pool Championships and took home fifth place. She one-upped herself two years later when she reached the semifinals after defeating such players as Mika Immonen and defending champion Oliver Ortmann.

In 2008 Ouschan played in the WPBA Carolina Classic and took first place. She came back from the one-loss side after a defeat by Sarah Rousey to eliminate the WPBA’s number-one-ranked player, Kelly Fisher, en route to the finals. There she met and defeated Jeanette “The Black Widow” Lee 7-1 to take the title.
