Here’s a list of frequently asked questions to save time. Keep in mind that some questions may pertain to Billiard Business Solutions and Sales Tracker, while others pertain to CuetPOS. We have discontinued development of Billiard Business Solutions and Sales Tracker, but both programs are available for purchase if you choose. Please note that only CuetPOS will be updated in the future.

First, you will increase profits (averaging 37% higher) because customers will not be forced to pay for a rental (in the middle of their visit while they are 5 feet from the front door of your business), thus making it the end of their visit.  Think for a second.  Have you ever noticed that casinos, the master money makers that they are, place the payment cages all the way in the back of the casino so that their customer needs to walk 5 minutes past every game they offer?  It’s because customers are trained to do the easiest thing, as you are literally showing them the door by asking them to pay at the front counter after they quit playing pool.  The best approach is allow them to add their rental cost to their existing tab seamlessly, away from the door, and to keep them closer to your businesses profit center.

The best practice is to switch before these ancient systems break down, and they will, leaving you with no recourse.  It’s also inevitable.  Not only will you lose your data, but you will undoubtedly lose money as well.  Talk to one of support agents and they’ll tell you how to prepare so you don’t lose money in the case of a crash from decades-old systems.  Do not wait.  These systems are crashing more and more ever day, without warming.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Question: How do I install the automatic light controls?”]Answer:  The light controls are simple to install. If you already have an old X-10 system, we retrofit and can easily snap right into place to control your current lighting system.  With the older light control systems, the most important issue is that the controller and the light controls outlets are on the same phase.  This is much easier to do now that most rooms have migrated to using LED lights.

If you want to use or switch to the wireless light controls, we have you covered. It’s extremely easy to do and takes about 1-2 minutes per light fixture that you want to control. Given the availability and ease of use, many businesses are choosing wireless.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Question: Do I need any special hardware?”]Answer: No.  You’ll need either an All-in-One POS station, or one of our POS stations, a regular desktop/PC, or a self made POS station. If making a self made station, you’ll need a computer, a POS printer, a cash drawer, and light controls if you plan on using them.  The program fully supports touchscreen functionality, and in fact was written for touchscreen use.  Onscreen keyboards pop up for users when necessary.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Question: Can I add sales to a table? Can customers move around?”]Answer: Yes.  We support unlimited numbers of tables.  Each table can have its own rate set that it charges for all 168 hours during the week.  We also support non-rental tables, so you customers can be managed whether at a pool table, dining table, bar stool, dart board, shuffleboard, foosball, or any other rental/non-rental facility.  One of the features we offer in CuetPOS is called Table-to-Tab, which allows users to move freely (to both rental and non-rental facilities) throughout the business, while having this tab follow them with all charges including food/beverage items, rental cost, and retail items.  Player can start tabs at the bar and move a table, then back to the bar or any other facility, all while having a tab that follows them.  Most businesses use preauthorizations to lessen the risk of nonpayment issues.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Question: Do you offer any type of training?”]Answer: Yes, we offer, training classes, instruction manuals, and video tutorials.  Training sessions are available in both management/admin and employee/end user types.  These are free forever.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Question: Does the software process credit cards? Can we preauthorize cards to protect aginst walkouts? What about checking a card for available funds?”]Answer: Yes. We partner with a top processor to offer our users the lowest rate on processing, and even have programs that make the processing free for the owners.  Our integrated payments use the latest processing hardware and are fully EMV/PCI DSScompliant. We utilize multiple methods of payment as well including Google Pay, Apple Pay, and touchless payments.

Need walkout protection?  We preauthorize cards using the latest rules and methods demanded for EMV transactions.  We also give users the options to use incremental preauthorizations so that there’s no surprises when the customer comes to finalize their bill.  Basically we check to makes sure funds are available and change the preauthorization amount automatically for you.

Does your current/old system hold preauthorizatiosn causing them not to drop off your customer’s account, causing friction.  Worry no more.  Unused preauthorizations drop get canceled immediately and your business will never ti up your customer’s funds.
