World Ranked No.3 player Darren Appleton and Former World 9 Ball Champion Daryl Peach from England are among a host of players from the United Kingdom who will be unable to attend the Predator World Tour in Lloret del Mar, Spain as most airports in Great Britain have been closed due to the heaviest snow fall in 30 years.

Other British pool players affected by what is becoming known as “the big freeze” include Imran Majid, Chris Melling, Scott Higgins, former IPT Player Mick Hill, 9 Ball Bronze Medalist in 2008 Karl Boyes, and a host of others were devastated after waiting several hours at the airport only to eventually be told that there would be no resumption of flights that day.

Appleton is one of the top pro players missing the Predator World Tour stop.

Appleton said, “it’s one of those things, you can’t beat nature!”

The Predator World Tour stop is scheduled for January 6-10, 2010. As with the Anadia event last September, ESPN Star and Eurosport will cover the finals and semifinals in Barcelona. This 128 player invitational tournament will take place in Lloret De Mar, just outside of Barcelona. For more information about the Predator 10-Ball World Tour visit www.Predator10Ball.com.
