Bowman Escapes Aiardo for the Win

Bar table wizard Jesse Bowman took top honors at the May 2 stop of the Pechauer All-American Tour. Hosted by Miller Time Billiards in Davenport, IA, the $500-added event drew 23 players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.
Bowman was sterling in his march to the finals. In the hot seat match, Bowman dominated Ryan Short 7-1. Earlier in the A-bracket semifinals, Bowman outmaneuvered Larry Miller on the hill 7-3, while Short bested Crist Aiardo by a 4-2 margin.
In the B-side bracket Aiardo eliminated Don Boll at fifth place 4-3, while Rory Smith clipped Miller at the same placement 4-3. In the B-side semifinals Aiardo ousted Smith 4-1. Aiardo continued his hot hand to close out Short’s tournament at third place by a comfortable 4-1 score. The tournament finals was not easy for Bowman, as Aiardo handed him his first loss in set one, forcing a second set, which Bowman claimed by a 7-2 margin for the title.
