Billiards Fundraiser Aids Cancer 3 Year Old Patient

The Green Room in Temple, TX, saw a packed house on Saturday, December 5, at their fundraiser to benefit a little boy who suffers from neuroblastoma—brain cancer. Cooper is 3 years old and his parents are in their early twenties and under financial strain, trying to take care of their little boy who is undergoing chemo with only a 30% chance to live. The fundraiser accumulated $6,500 to benefit the family, including $2,300 from Mr. James Barnett, who matched the silent auction sales. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event, including InsidePOOL Magazine, Pool & Billiard Magazine, Poison Cues, the WPBA, touring pro Kim White, and Ted & Sheryl Sofge, owners of the Green Room.

Many people turned out to help support this worthy cause, including KCEN TV in Eddie, TX, who took a few shots of Cooper when he visited his own benefit to show what heart and determination was all about. Not a hair on his head, with a smile on his face, he pocketed pool balls by hand as the camera man rolled. It was a good day.

Thank you to all of those who gave their time, money, and a little bit of themselves to help a little boy in need.
