Abraham Snaps off First Predator Billiard Win
Predator 9-Ball Tour / Hempstead, NY

by InsidePOOL Staff
A field of 43 billiards players came out to support the eighth stop of the Predator 9-Ball Tour the weekend of June 7-8. The host room was Raxx Pool Room in Hempstead, NY, and Eddie Abraham walked away with first place.
Abraham battled all the way through the event undefeated. On the second day he faced off against Jonathan Smith for the hot seat having just bested Frankie Hernandez 9-5. He sent Smith to the one-loss side 9-5 as well.
Over to the one loss side, Joey Kong, who suffered his first loss to Hernandez 9-, battled back to face off against Hernandez again, who just escaped from a double-hill match against Bobby Blackmore . Their match was full of great safety play and incredible breaking skills, and at hill-hill Kong defeated Hernandez to advance to face Smith. This match was another nail-biter, as both clearly wanted a chance at Abraham in the finals. Another hill-hill match victory for Kong left Smith to settle for third place.
In the finals it was all Abraham. The unbeaten champion just wouldn’t let up exhibiting a terrific break, great cue ball control, and the same battle-tested skills that kept him undefeated throughout the event. An incredible jump shot at 7-4 simply added fuel to his game, and he closed the door on Kong 11-6.
