Chavez Chews up Blaze Tour

Ignacio Chavez took first place out of a strong Northeastern field at the September 9 stop of the Blaze 9-Ball Tour. Hosted by Castle Billiards in East Rutherford, NJ, the field boasted tough players such as Tony Robles, Shaun Wilkie, Bristol Bob Begey, and points leader Matt Krah.
Robles made his way to the hot seat to match up against Chavez, who pulled away with the win to send Robles to the one-loss side. Waiting there for him was Begey, who had just defeated Wilkie, and after a great match, Begey triumphed to advance to the finals. There, though, Chavez won the match easily to take first place.
